Click It or Ticket, Texas
Can a Web site save a life? If you’re talking about the Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT) new “Click It or Ticket†Flash microsite, the answer is hopefully yes.

Between friends, the Internet and multi-functional cell phones, it’s not always easy to get a teenager’s attention. So, TxDOT and Austin advertising agency ThinkStreet dangled a carrot: watch a video about seatbelt safety, get a free music download.
Teens are more than tech-savvy, but so is Go9Media Production Coordinator Anne-Marie Defesche.
She not only figured out how to ensure users can’t fast-forward through the video, but also how to dynamically capture some basic viewer info by integrating Flash Action Script 3.0 and PHP technologies.
Since its launch on April 16, the site has had over 40,000 unique visitors, and peaked at more than 10,000 in one day. Totally cool.
