Site Accessibility
What makes a site accessible?
At Go9Media we use a number of tools when making a website accessible.
But the most important tool is the end-user. You can make all of the technical
changes to a site - make the code 100% accessible - but it can still not
make any sense to the person using it!
This site, Go9Media.com, incorporated the following standards:
- CSS Based layout (using style sheets to control the visual layout and
presenation of the site)
- Allowing the user to control the size of the font - the end user decides
how big, or small, the fonts are. Try the settings in your browser (Main
menu: View > Text Size).
- Crisp, clean, high contrast - easy to read text.
- Simple consistent navigation - no one likes to be overwhlemed by too
many options!
- Clean code - quick to download and easy for assitive technologies (such
as screen readers for our blind and visually impaired visitors) to use.
These are a few of the highlights - but if you want o know more or have any
comments - please feel free to contact us!
